James is responsible for the company’s development activities, including land acquisition, entitlement, market feasibility, programming, master planning, project financing, and development management. These initial development activities are critical to a project’s success, and James’s experience ensures that each project is well planned, financially strong, and meets or exceeds the needs of the client.
With over 26 years of experience in the real estate industry, James has managed the development of over 6.5 million square feet of commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate. His diverse background and master planning experience allows James to fully understand our clients’ needs and deliver projects that make our clients successful.
Prior to joining Place Enterprises, James was Vice President – Senior Development Executive with Cousins Properties, Inc., a leading national development REIT involved in residential, commercial, retail, and mixed-use development. Otherwise, James has been an independent development consultant, Development Manager with Portman Properties, and Senior Asset Manager with Lennar Partners.
James is active in numerous civic organizations including his role as Committee Chairperson of Troop 1776 Boy Scout Venture Crew.
